FLYING
How do I play?
Hold anywhere on the screen and drag: your plane follows your finger, left, right, forward and back. The guns fire on their own. Double-tap to barrel roll (the dots next to ROLL show how many you have left), and tap the round button at the bottom right to drop an Ink Bomb.
The game slowed down and paused
That happens when you lift your finger: time slows down, then the game pauses. Put your finger back on the screen to fly on. Leaving the app also pauses the game.
Fuel and lives
- Fuel drains while you fly. Catch parachute fuel cans and drums, and fly under the Sky Pump balloon to refill. An empty tank ends the stage.
- Lives are the small planes at the top left. Every hit costs one; the last one means you're shot down. An armor plate takes a hit for you.
Weapons
Shoot open the crates floating in the air and catch the letter you want: M Twin Nib, S Splatter, H Scribble, C Ink Cannon, L Quill Beam, Z Zigzag Bolt. Catching the same letter again powers it up.
Move speed
If the plane moves too much or too little for your finger, change MOVE SPEED in Settings.
STAGES & PLANES
How do I open the next world?
Beat the world's boss (stage 10) and collect enough stars: 20 stars for every world you've finished. Replay stages to earn all three stars.
How do I unlock planes?
Open SETTINGS on the home page. Each locked plane, paint and extra shows what it needs: a number of stars, beating a boss, or a secret.
ADS
When do ads appear?
Ads only come between stages, never during a flight, and not in your first few stages. Every 7 minutes the game offers a deal: watch one short ad and you won't see any other ads for the next 7 minutes. If you say no, a short ad plays between stages now and then (at most every 2 stages and 2 minutes).
How do I turn off personalized ads?
On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking and turn Inki Ace off. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you can also change your choices from AD CHOICES in the game's Settings. See the Privacy Policy for details.
PROGRESS & SETTINGS
Where is my progress saved?
Stages, stars, unlocked planes and your plane's look are saved on your device. They come back with an iCloud or computer backup of it, but deleting the app deletes them. There is no account.
No sound?
Check that SOUND is ON in the game's Settings. On iPhone, the game follows the silent switch.
Notifications
With notifications on, you get a few reminders after you stop playing (a day, 3 days, a week and two weeks later, never at night, then they stop) and the occasional piece of game news, like a new world. Turn them on or off with NOTIFICATIONS in the game's Settings › GAME. If they won't turn on, allow notifications for Inki Ace in your device's Settings › Notifications.
Light or dark?
In the game's Settings, THEME can be DAY, NIGHT or AUTO (follows your device's appearance).
